I can't say whether these are effective- I tried one, and they were so terrible I couldn't continue taking them. I'm usually very good about bad tasting vitamins and meds, but these are awful!

I am using it as I am pregnant. Its a great supplement during pregnancy as more calcium is required by the body during pregnancy. I use the milk chocolate flavor which I like very much. The new Viactiv has added Vitamin D to it. So that's again a great feature. It is not very costly too. I used a coupon for it. So, I got $ 2.00 discount on it. I feel my bones are stronger with this supplement.
