Although it was eventually realized that the cause of my dry eyes was occular rosacea, before this dignosis, the only tears I was manufacturing for myself were tears of frustration when none of my eye doctors could figure out why my eyes were so dry. In the mean time, they all reccommended ReFresh eye drops which, although felt nice for about 30 seconds, even the thicker versions didnt seem to last on my eyes very long. However, they are supposed to be preservative free and some of the best artificial tears out there so I stuck with them for the two years it took to get a correct diagnosis. Now that my eyes are finally back to normal, I do use these drops on the occassional day that I have sat at the computer too long and they are very helpful.

Date Purchased: 01/2009
Price Paid: $20
Recommend: Yes
Pros:
Great for eyes that are mildly or moderately dry.

Cons:
Expensive and not great for severe dryness as you will go through an entire pack in one day. In these instances, they do not last a long time and something else may be the cause of your eye discomfort.

Between allergies and spending hours on the computer, I get very dry eyes. I generally experience more stinging than relief from eyedrops, but these are great. I definitely recommend them.

My eye doctor recommended this, because I have very dry eyes and am allergic to a lot of things. I found that it worked well when I remembered to use it. But my eye problems turned out to be a lot more serious than dry eyes. I need a corneal transplant in both eyes. Until I get it, a combination of chemicals produced by my eyes and chemicals produced by a skin problem combine to produce permanent soap in my eyes. These eye drops help to wash the soap out. After everything has healed, I'll probably go on using the eyedrops.

Date Purchased: June/2006
Price Paid: $12
Recommend: Yes
Pros:
Moistens my eyes, washes out the naturally produced soap.

Cons:
no cons
