I have had insomnia issues for most of my life and a GNC rep recommended that I try this product to help my sleeping problems. I gave it a couple weeks and found that it provided no benefit to me. I couldn't recommend this to anyone.

If I remember to take it early (1 to 1-1/2 hours ahead), and that's a big IF, then it will help me to get to sleep in a reasonable amount of time. However, it doesn't work for my son at all. We both experience a drug out feeling the next day, sometimes accompanied by a headache. If we have no other options, we turn to this . . . at least until the bottle runs out. We won't be replacing it.

Date Purchased: 03/07
Price Paid: $5
Recommend: No
Cons:
DO NOT take if you are pregnant, nursing or if you are currently using an SSRI anti-depressant. Because melatonin plays a role in the chemical balance within our bodies there are a number of conditions which require a doctors consultation prior to use: depression, epilepsy, diabetes, stroke, liver or kidney disease or disorders of immune system.

I honestly didn't actually needed to take any products for sleep but i tried this one. It took me only 15 minutes to get to deep sleep.

I felt dizzy and would suggest it to those who feel difficulties to get to sleep.

Date Purchased: 12/2007
Price Paid: $5
Recommend: Yes
Pros:
Performs the function well for what it is known for.

Cons:
gets you more dizzy
