Very disappointing product. I had high hopes, though I suppose the level of sugar shoulda-been-a-clue. [sigh] Failed to stop a cold from making the jump from school to home. This year we tried Vitamin D3 and have had perfect attendance for all of us!

Pros:
Good question. Umm. None.

Cons:
Expensive, sugar laden [the better to feed the germs with, I suppose] and ineffective.

Very sugary product

I purchased this because there was a rebate offer at the time. At $13.00 for a 4oz bottle it is a bit pricey.

Sambucal is a immune boosting syrup that can be taken once a day or during the winter season when the immune system is weaker. It is believed that the Black Elderberry in it has antioxidants that stimulate the immune system.

I have tried this in the winter and during times that the flu was going around at my daughters school. I did not see any improvement while taking it, and caught a cold while on it. It does taste very good, similar to a berry pie. However, when you look at the ingredients the first one listed is glucose syrup, which translates to sugar!

This product can be found in some major drugstores. For the price and ineffectiveness I do not recommend this.

Pros:
Anyone can take it, even children. Tastes good. Can be found easily.

Cons:
Expensive for a small 4 oz bottle. Does not work and is practically pure sugar.
