I am always open to a holistic herb or vitamin to help boost the immune system so I decided to give Echinacea a try. I have tried it consistently for over a month and I have to say that I found no real benefits in the product. So I have come to the conclusion to not recommend it.

Echinacea is a great way to boost your immune system. I have found it to be a lot better than Vitamin C. I have taken it at the first signs of a cold and it greatly reduced its duration. American Indians supossedly used it to cure all kinds of ailments, and it actually comes from the Purple Cone Flower.

I've learned to reach for this at the first sign of sniffles etc. esp. for my school age son. He hasn't missed a day in school since we discovered it! (much easier said than done) When we hear something is 'going around' we take this and extra Vit. C as a precaution. It has kept this household much healthier.

Great way to safeguard health. Wonderful immune system booster.

Cons:

There are some scientific studies indicating that continuous long-term use of this product can over-stimulate the immune system causing issues. However, there are also studies supporting this being a non-issue. Research the issue and decide for yourself prior to daily use longer than two weeks.

Hi friends, I took this vitamin "Echinacea" manufactured by Nature Made as per the advice of my friend who is a medical practitioner. I was feeling physical weakness resulting in mental depression. After taking "Echinacea", I felt as if my lost energy is restored. One can try this vitamin and get energized like me. Since it is made of natural ingredients ,the side effect is also less.

this is not a complaint against this particular brand, but i find that when i take it, i get this "metally" taste in my mouth that lasts for hours.
