I don't think these are good to take because they can possibly become a habit. The brain requires REM sleep, which is also dream sleep. These pills can rewire your brain function during sleep after awhile, and make you more tired, depressed and lethargic during the day. If you have trouble sleeping you should see a doctor.

I have always had a hard time getting to sleep. My doctor suggested I use Unisom. I used this over the counter medication for years and it worked very well; however, I do not like taking medicine unless I have too. I read about Melatonin in a book on dealing with anxiety naturally, and decided to give it a try. It works great. It actually works so well that I call it Mela-comin (as it knocks me out completely). I would recommend this natural sleep aid to anyone.
