My son is allergic to milk so increasing his calcium intake can be a challenge. On days when his diet will be lacking I have him take an Animal Parade chewable. The supplement is comprised of natural extracts (spinach, broccoli, fig, and date) which I know his body will be able to assimilate. He likes the taste, likely because it contains fructose. I am aware sugar interferes with the absorption of calcium, but I am not as certain if fructose has the same effect. Research would be warranted if relying upon this product to provide calcium on a regular basis.
