If you know you aren't getting enough fiber in your diet.
If you aren't eating fruits and veggies like you're supposed to, Psyllium Husks is how you should add more fiber. Works great and added with food (meals) can fill you up so you eat less. Good for the heart.

Grapefruit pectin should be avoided by most folks taking heart meds due to interactions. Psyllium husks do an outstanding job of taking their place! Mix the loose form in water and gulp down, but don't turn your back or it will jell on you! Most folks prefer taking this prodcut encapsulated (as referenced here). Be certain to take with plenty of water or they might bind you up.

Date Purchased: 05/08
Price Paid: $8
Recommend: Yes
Pros:
Excellent source of fiber. Great way to remain regular.

Cons:
As with all fiber, check your meds for fiber interactions. Fiber can bind with some heart meds causing your dosage to be less effective or ineffective. Properly spaced away from those meds, it is an excellent supplement.
