I have taken ginkgo biloba for some time, off and on. I have not seen much improvement in my memory, aging, or mental function, but I am young and didn't really have any problems. This may be one of those things you have to take long term for the benefits.

Pros:
supposed to help aging and memory

Cons:
not sure it is effective

At the time that both my husband's psychiatrist and my psychiatrist advised me to begin using ginkgo biloba, I was a real mess. My IQ had dropped 65 points, from 185 to 120, and despite a Ph.D. in English with a specialty in creative writing and over twenty published books, I could not write. I finished my last book before I began gingko biloba sitting at the computer crying. When I began using gingko, my improvement was not instant--it took me about six months to get back to something approaching normal--but within a year I was writing again. Not only was I writing, but I was writing in genres I had been afraid to try before. I'm about gingko the way some people are about guns: you can take my gingko away from me only by prying it out of my cold, dead, hands. This stuff gets 20 stars from me.

Pros:
It makes my brain work right.

Cons:
It is a blood thinner; therefore, if you are going to have surgery you should stop it a month beforehand, and your brain power will drop faster than it will rise when you are able to resume using it. You cannot use it with other blood thinners, especially prescription blood thinners.

Most of the herbal medicines are known to be without any side effects and work slowly but effectively on the patient.Ginkgo Biloba is a great product by Finest .It is an Anti-Aging and Longevity product and since it is prepared by herbal ingredients naturally does not produce any side effects. This product is good for general alertness, mind control and lifts the spirit of the person. Even at older age , it will boost your energy level and remove fatigue. I have seen people who are rejuvenated by taking Ginkgo Biloba in their old age.
