With most beauty creams soaring above $20 per ounce this lotion is probably the best "beauty secret" I know about. It is a mild, simple, and affordable beta-hydroxy complex that is not too heavy and not too drying. A lot of the extra ingredients in beauty products add nothing at best and at worst cancel each other chemically.
One of the best beta-hydroxy acids is Salicylic acid which is in most acne and age related products. Finding a good percentage for one's skin is tricky, because just enough will slightly exfoliate and too much will cause peeling, drying, and breakouts.
I have pretty reactive skin and do not find this product irritating, but it is heavily fragranced. I use this as a moisturizer in the evenings after using a stronger salicylic acid toner. My skin is oily but is usually clear. I find this product does improve the look of my skin with regular use.
