If you can't stomach traditional calcium tablets, this is the product for you. Crosses the boundary between medicine and confectionery categories and highly recommended to those aversive to taking medicinal supplements such as the elderly or the young.

Pros:
Great taste (slightly milky and minutely chalky), great looks (packaging, branding and design)
Cons:
Not cheap (compared to independent labels) Can be addictive! I can't seem to stop my children taking it! |

Due to her small frame and low weight, my wife is at a higher risk of developing osteoporosis later in life. her doctor recommended a calcium supplement, and to be honest the pill form made her stomach ache. So, she decided to try Viactiv Calcium Soft Chews

I have been taking Viactiv's calcium supplement, in chocolate, since I had a hysterectomy. It is an easy, effective way to replenish the body's calcium, especially after menopause. Osteoporosis is prominent in my family and I'm doing everything in my power to prevent it. My Doctor recommended these, since I hate large pills.
It has a great flavor, much like a softer version of a Tootsie Roll!

Pros:
It tastes good and, for me, has been Doctor recommended.
Cons:
I don't like the packaging. Anyone can get into it, and I have children. Although they should be old enough to know better, anything that looks like chocolate is fair-game to them, so I have to keep it away. |

These are the easiest way that I found to take a calcium supplement. They taste great and are chewy. They are relatively easy to find and not expensive. I started to take these because I found it very hard to get my daily calcium, mainly because I hate the taste of milk.

I bought these when I ran out of the calcium tablets I usually take and they were on sale. I liked the taste and texture at first but after a few days, I was tired of them. They are very sweet and I started disliking the flavor after a couple. My husband took the rest of them and he did not mind them at all.

Pros:
It is a different way to take your calcium supplement.
Cons:
They were too sweet for my taste. |

I love the raspberry chewable Viactiv! There, I said it. They taste amazing. It's hard to tell that you're chewing a vitamin, it really does taste like candy. The problem? As a post-op bariatric patient, I researched and realized that these are made from calcium carbonate instead of calcium citrate, which, due to the type of surgery I had, I just don't absorb these little stinkers as well as the citrate, so I had to stop taking them. But oh, they are tasty.

not great for WLS patients, made with sugar, 20 calories per chew |
